🔥Creating a real-life addictive video game experience.

What if your real life were more addictive than any video game?

Your eyes are opening, and you jump right out of bed.

No more hitting snooze.

No more lying around in bed.

No more feeling groggy in the morning.

Just pure clarity, energy and motivation.

Imagine the morning before a flight.

You probably woke up more excited, less tired and more energetic?

This is not unintentional.

Your body and subconscious mind feel it; you somehow experience a burst of energy, but you are probably not aware why, or only now do you reflect on it in retrospect.

Not yet.

And I want to change that.

I want to give you the reason why this is happening, how to change it, and how to systematize this feeling, so you can consciously understand why it happened and how to trigger it.

A Deep Purpose

You might have seen the movie "Inception" by Christopher Nolan. (If not, I highly recommend it)

He talks about planting an idea in his wife's mind.

This idea grows like a sapling into a tree.

The problem is that, later, this idea becomes a reality, a reality she can no longer escape.

A vivid image, so strong that she can't put it off; it is constantly in her mind.

It became a lingering thought.

In my opinion, this happens often to our dreams in general. They are lingering thoughts inside our minds, inside our souls, but we so frequently never act on them.

This feeling will be stored in our minds and souls, affecting our relationship with our bodies and giving us a sense of restlessness.

This feeling, originating from your mind and soul, will negatively affect your body because you are not acting in alignment with your deeper values, thereby disconnecting your mind from your heart.

This feeling of not working towards your desires, your dreams, your mental image of yourself, will be stored as a "trauma" inside your body.

It is a lingering thought.

After a while, when you're not acting on your dreams or suppressing this feeling, it builds up.

It becomes so strong that your body leaps….

  • This can lead to injuries.
  • Inflamed body parts
  • Destructive sleep cycles.
  • The feeling of restlessness
  • An eating disorder
  • Etc.

For me, this is mostly inflammation and injured tendons, which slowly heal, and I suffer for months.

I tried every diet, every technique, every tip, but nothing worked.

After a long while reflecting on why I always have problems with my tendons, I found out that this occurs through:

  • Trauma
  • Unhappiness
  • Misalignment
  • Lack of autonomy
  • Lingering thought
  • Etc.

In short, mental health.

Breaking this down results in low energy, difficulties waking up, or sticking to any habit, because your mind constantly fights against itself.

Your inner voice is your biggest enemy.

To connect it to our morning before our flight, our subconscious—the part where we planted the seed—is deeply aligned with our dreams, our core, and our heart.

This is why you feel so energetic, motivated and excited to wake up.

Our body, mind and soul have a deep purpose.
They are all aligned and connected, as they should be.

And the highest reason and motivation to wake up in the morning is having a deep purpose for why we do so.

In a positive sense, it should be an internal motivation, not an external one, such as going to your job, especially if you don't like your job.

But if you have a job, how do you wake up more energetically?

My idea would be this:

Wake up earlier before your job starts, and combine this with an activity you deeply enjoy.

This can be writing, building, or creating towards your own business, for example, one of the reasons I created The 1-Hour Threads System to simplify the transition from your job to your own business by investing 1 hour a day, ideally before your work.

Or a training session, spending time with your loved one, or with your kids.

If you combine a satisfactory habit or activity for the morning right after waking up, it is far easier to get out of bed in the morning.

And you take this positive energy and attitude with you into the day and your job.

Think About Which Game You Want To Play

  • This could be an RPG like The Witcher
  • An action-adventure like Uncharted
  • Maybe something more strategic, like Civilization
  • Maybe RPG and strategy like Baldur's Gate
  • Or what about Pokémon
  • Or even Sims

Or you combine them all together.

The building and strategy of civilization, with the adventure of Uncharted, finding treasures, or the pursuit of catching the best Pokémon, and diving into a beautiful, rich and colourful world.

You just need to understand which game you want to play or create.

This game can take on different forms in various settings, including work, training, or relationships.

  • At work, you might want to be the strategic builder of civilizations, utilizing architecture and interior design.
  • At training, you might want to be the explorer, the adventurer: the hiker, the athlete, the surfer.
  • In your relationship, you might want to play The Sims, creating a calm and peaceful environment and designing your own four walls to build a stable and loving family.

However, if you always play Sims at work, during training, and in relationships, you might get a bit bored.

You probably need more challenge, more adventure, more creativity.

Let's use Pokémon as an example for work; most people should be familiar with the Pokémon franchise.

When you are pursuing a "video game" at work, like Pokémon.

Your position is being a Pokémon Trainer.

This will not change; otherwise, you become part of Team Rocket.

Ash Ketchum doesn't change his "job"; he changes his Pokémon, playground, environment, and his companions.

He chose his purpose: Becoming the best Pokémon Trainer.

I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To catch them is my real test
To train them is my cause
I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
….

It's the same with my life's work: I am an entrepreneur and creator, and this will not change.

However, how I pursue this will change: my tools, work environment, business relations, home office, content type, and strategy.

But I will stay an entrepreneur and creator.

I remain a "Pokémon Trainer".

People give up along the journey of becoming the best Pokémon Trainer after losing several times, instead of changing the Pokémon team.

By the way, here is a real-life example of me catching Pokémon:

Interconnected Thinking Creates A Real-Life Video Game

Interconnected thinking not only creates a real-life addictive video game experience but also creates exponential growth.

However, the problem is that most people never achieve interconnected thinking, where their minds connect the dots, thereby creating an addictive real-life video game experience.

Most minds are too specialistic, unable to grasp the bigger picture or connect the dots. They lack creative thinking and tend to think only with their logical brain. (Left brain)

Interconnected thinking can only occur when the right brain (emotional and creative) or both hemispheres work in coherence, which is the default state of humanity. We can also call it logical creative.

The right brain is the one that allows you to connect to the bigger picture, where you holistically see the world.

Nature seamlessly emerges together.

Every great thinker or artist, such as Plato, Socrates, and Da Vinci, was a logical creative thinker.

They understood that the truth does not occur in extremes, but coherently connects.

Think about movie worlds, like Lord of the Rings or the Marvel Universe.

The entire story and world seamlessly connect, Tolkien and Stan Lee were both able to create that.

A single mind, able to create an entire universe inside their minds.

Nowadays, most movies are a shallow copy of old great stories…

In my opinion, this occurs through a loss of creativity and a focus on being "cost-effective"; people simply copy.

They don't take an idea as an inspiration; they ruthlessly copy and paste.

The Mind Universe

To create an addictive real-life video game experience, we need to create more with our minds.

Ideally, creating our mind universe without being stuck in it.

Just a warning here:

Some people can create a mental prison, because they are only inside their minds.

Please be mindful that when you create a mental universe, this is your work or purpose, but it should NOT be reflected or projected outward in a way that causes negative experiences for others.

As an example:

"Narcissists and psychopaths are the unhappiest people because they create a false reality inside their minds."

They can't let go and distance themselves from their false reality.

They believe they are the hero, but in fact, they are the villain.

We all can fall, even if we are the most beautiful angel, like Lucifer.

(If anyone is not familiar with it, maybe you watched Supernatural, haha)

Other than that, let's create a mind universe:

The goal is to create a business universe, not a movie or anything like that, yet.

1) Your topics

First of all, you need three pillars or three topics.

Otherwise, you get confused, and so do your audience and followers.

I talk, for example, about:

Productivity, Creativity and Self-Improvement.

From these three topics, everything else can be created.

  • Productivity is the first part, the broad topic.
  • From there, once we understand how to become more productive, we discover that we need to become problem solvers, which originates from higher creativity that enables us to see the bigger picture and be innovative.
  • To sustain high creativity and productivity, we constantly need to self-improve and optimize. Once we stand still, everything slows down, including happiness. Under the topic of self-improvement, I can write about nearly everything, such as self-mastery, psychology, business, or anything related to The Human Adventure.

2) Vision and Anti-Vision

You want to write down your vision and anti-vision as detailed as possible.

Think about Mario and Wario or Luigi and Wa-Luigi.

Your competition is your anti-you.

It's the past and present you = Wario or Wa-Luigi

And the future and present you = Mario or Luigi

You will always stay in the present moment, but the question is, do you want to hold yourself to the past or look forward to the future?

Mario or Wario?

Luigi or Wa-Luigi?

Here are a few questions for your vision:

  • If you had all of the money in the world, what would your ideal day look like?
  • What kind of environment do you want to live in? Specific location? Do you want to travel? Be descriptive.
  • How long of a workday do you want to have? If you could do anything for a living, what would you choose?
  • How do you want to look and feel? Low energy or high energy? Get specific.
  • List out anything else that comes to mind in terms of a specific future that you want to build for yourself.

Here are a few questions for your anti-vision:

  • What is the bane of your existence? Write out the opposite of your vision.
  • What were your lowest points in life? What were some consistent pain points or nagging thoughts relating to your interests?

3) Skills, Habits and Beliefs

Your job is to both teach and persuade people to adopt the skills, habits and beliefs that help them reach your shared vision for the future.

My skills, habits and beliefs are:

  • Emotional intelligence and getting more into the right brain with a more holistic, interconnected world view.
  • How to become more productive by improving problem-solving through creativity and the power of flow.
  • Mind Mastery to organize, structure and overcome mental challenges, for example, ADHD, depression, unhappiness, etc.
  • Talking and writing in public and becoming a figure people want to listen to.
  • Building a mindful, purposeful and fulfilling business venture that differentiates from the problem many entrepreneurs are currently facing.
  • Creating content, written and verbal, with unique systematic approaches.
  • Probably more, but that's what got into my mind right now.

These questions could help you discover the answers:

  • What series of goals, from big to small, act as stepping stones toward your shared vision?
  • What skills must people learn to achieve each of those goals?
  • What habits do people need to adopt to achieve those goals?
  • What extreme beliefs do you have relevant to your vision?

4) Clarity

This is the one that took me the longest. Not sure if this is because of my ADHD or a common problem in general.

That's why much of my content and teachings are called "Chaos To Clarity"

Because the clearer your mental image of what, how, and when to pursue is, the faster you can create it into reality.

Reducing the gap between time and execution.

Projecting your imagination into the physical world.

To achieve this, your minds should be clear.

Entropy only occurs if you are overwhelmed, anxious, have a problem or start a new project.

Which is normal.

Whenever there is a new project at my work and I haven't done it before, I have entropy, chaos, and a problem.

Where I look for a solution, I find clarity and order.

Problem = Entropy and chaos

Solution = Order and clarity

Here are a few questions to deepen your clarity:

  • How do you want to speak? With what tone? With how much depth? Articulation? You can write down the names of people that you aspire to be like here (study them).
  • What are your favourite colours? Why are they your favourite colours? What do they represent — research this — and is that the vibe you are trying to put off?
  • What are the general interests you want to include in your brand/mind universe? (List 2-5)
  • What is your main expertise (related to what you sell or want to become known for)?

5) Concepts, Unique Mechanisms and Ideas

You want to stand out.

You want to be unique.

You want to create a world.

What is important is what you want to be known for.

  • Think of James Clear with atomic habits: 1% better every day.
  • The Eisenhower Matrix
  • Tim Ferriss and the 4-Hour Workweek

For me, this is:

  • The Human Adventure
  • The Chaos To Clarity Method
  • The Second Brain Business
  • The Second Brain Creator
  • The Universe Method
  • The Universe Thinker

This is Jeff's Mind Universe.

Think about what you want to be known for.

You can also emulate others and create your method on top of it, giving it a new name.

That's what I did with Mastery Notes: I put the Chaos to Clarity Method on Top and gave it a new name.

I know this is a lot of information at once, but it works.

The best approach is to try to copy this into your note-taking app, for example, I use Kortex or Notion and answer the questions.

This is also part of my upcoming new challenge, which I am currently developing for July.

Suppose you continue along the journey of your mind universe. In that case, you will gamify your life, creating your own real-life video game experience, entering a flow state more often, and building a business you deeply feel passionate about, all by working only 4 hours a day.

Hope this helps.

Jeff
