🔥How to NOT get overwhelmed with ADHD

The problem is that most people are anxious, stressed, and overwhelmed because they take on too many "projects" in one week.

The art of productivity is to learn to do less, but with higher quality.
  • Meeting a friend is a project.
  • Dating someone is a project.
  • Your side hustle is a project.
  • Your job is a project.

Now, think of how many "projects" you have per week?

But what is your ACTUAL goal?

The actual goal you have is to transition this "project" to "maintenance".

→ You want to make a lifelong friend who stays with you until you die.

→ You want a "partner in crime", where you become Yin and Yang.

→ You want to quit your job for freedom and autonomy and turn your side hustle into your full-time income and life's work.

The Cycle of Life

Your life is a hierarchy of goals.

You want to keep 'levelling up".

You want the Mercedes, but the moment you achieve the goal, it becomes "boring".

Your mind starts to search for the next goal.

An infinite loop that seems, at first, like dopamine seeking, but is actually nature's cycle.

You have spring, summer, autumn and winter.

A never-ending cycle.

You have infinity. ♾️

In this sense, you want to create an infinite number of projects throughout your life, a never-ending loop of problems and solutions. But "maintaining" this habit lifelong.

If you don't have a problem, you will be assigned one.

Helping the individual (in most cases, your boss) to achieve this goal.

Most people look at others' problems to distract themselves from their own.

This often functions as a coping mechanism: avoiding discomfort, anxiety, or responsibility.

It can also become a form of emotional procrastination, leading to “productive-looking” concern for others rather than dealing with internal challenges.

Turn Your Mind Into A Goal-Striving Mechanism

A project is simply a structured way to achieve a goal or make progress toward it.

The thing is, meaningful projects order your mind and narrow your attention on the levers you need to pull every single day.

Think of your week as one big project with one big goal.

  1. What is the one category you want to learn, study and research about? (Pick only one and go deep.)
  2. How can you put this topic into actionable steps to achieve the goal?
  3. What are the daily actions you need to take to accomplish this week's project goal?
You can acquire information from reading a book. But to ‘experience’ you must creatively respond to information. - Psycho-Cybernetics

Here is an example from my case, which helped me tremendously to reduce my cognitive load:

  1. Every week is one big broad newsletter topic.
  2. I research, read and study only topics related to this topic.
  3. I write two newsletters about it: one on Wednesday (short) and one on Saturday (long) to deepen knowledge.
  4. I go on three runs per week, so I try to focus my mind only on this one topic while enjoying the beautiful running route, which triggers euphoria. (I live at a lovely place, a bit boring, but beautiful.)
  5. I extract information from my Apple Watch audio recordings, organize it into ideas, concepts, or mechanisms, and add it to my weekly project to make it actionable.
  6. I break down the newsletters into threads, Instagram and YouTube content and publish it.

That's how I manage to put in 4-6 hours of work per day.

On Saturday, I will go a bit deeper and also explain my 90-day framework, which breaks down goals.

Here is the current template I use for the weekly projects to keep my mind clear and focused:
