Most entrepreneurs build a kingdom and lose themselves in it.
They often forget why they started in the first place.
They built a kingdom, even on solid ground, because they had the resources to do so. But their greed leads to the fall of the kingdom, not due to a lack of resources, but a lack of morals and ethics.
The citizens of the kingdom see through the fake tilted glasses of the "king"; they see his pleasurable pursuits. They see that the money and power lead to his big belly and the decline of his authority.
The king, who once seemed strong, became the weakness of the nation. Instead of leading at the forefront of the wars, he hides behind his pawns, unable to move, due to the large belly he has gained. His wealth and the possibility of "enjoying" good meals became his burden.
Most kings (entrepreneurs) started with integrity, honour and love for their craft and their kingdom. They love to conquer, build and give, until pride, greed, gluttony, sloth and lust consume them.
The king ultimately consumes, rather than gives. He chose money over his craft.
A king, once honoured, became the figure of a fallen kingdom.
His kingdom was built on resources (money) and physical strength, but not on wisdom.
Every empire dies the moment it starts consuming instead of creating. Every king falls when greed replaces wisdom.
The Map To Becoming a King
A king is not born; he is forged.
Forged like a sword in the fire.
A king only becomes a king by building a kingdom.
Before a kingdom, he learns to:
- Provide for himself
- Then for his family
- Forges his own gear
- Become an honoured knight
- Train and study with other knights
- Convert his training to the battlefield
- Turn his studying to learn how to map out to conquer
- Become the leader and lead the other knights to success
- Conquer declining kingdoms and rebuild them from the ground up
Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens. - Exodus 18:21
Most entrepreneurs are not kings.
They are addicted to pride, greed, gluttony, sloth and lust.
They don't lead, they rule over their citizens.
They think their citizens belong to them. The "kings" view their citizens as mere ants, much like most governments perceive their citizens—people who pay taxes and atone for the mistakes the governments make.
These "kings" or rulers of either kingdoms (companies) or countries are not in their position through honour, integrity and hard work; they are self-centred knights who distance themselves from the word of honour. They killed the king from behind with a little knife, and put on the crone.
They never earned their right, so they are never earning the trust of their citizens (or audience/customers).
(It's like the story of most medieval movies)
If a real king gets on the throne, his citizens worship him and kneel with pure honour, not because they need to, but because they are thankful for what the king provides.
He is a true leader who gives rather than takes. (he followed the steps accordingly)
There are universal steps a farmer needs to accomplish to become a king. (self-actualization)
The ladder (or staircase) has never changed. This is part of "The Human Adventure".
It is your evolutionary destiny to use what is unused, to learn and keep on learning for as long as you live. To choose this destiny, to walk the path of mastery.
Wisdom Leads To A Kingdom.
Most entrepreneurs believe they can build a kingdom through dictatorship, a lack of values, and shallow promises.
When entrepreneurs either start on shaky grounds or build shaky walls, their kingdom is going to fall sooner or later.
Every other option is creating entropy and the fall of the kingdom.
When an entrepreneur trades his craft and mastery for money, he is going to lose everything.
An entrepreneur can not be a king without purpose.
The development of his kingdom and region must be his primary focus. This includes taking care of the guards, army, trading routes, farmers and overall citizens. Taking care of his kingdom, both physically and mentally, should be his primary goal; the more he distances himself from this endeavour, the more it leads to the decline of his kingdom and his mental fatigue. Slowly creating entropy until everything collapses at once.
The only reliable option for sustainable wealth and happiness is building a kingdom on wisdom.
A king must align with the natural order.
He needs to understand that to develop his kingdom, he must continually evolve through learning and implementation. The moment the king loses clarity through an overconsumption of food, women or lack of physical training, is the moment the king loses the connection to the natural order, and his bond to it.
A true leader of his kingdom is constantly reading and writing, to maintain clarity of his mind and make good (business) decisions. He no longer needs to farm or smith, having already done so, but he must maintain clarity over his infrastructure.
The wisdom the king gains through consistent practice of reading and writing, while maintaining his physical health, is a non-negotiable for the king.
The king knows that the moment he stops his daily practice, everything will fall apart. His sleep quality deteriorates, his bodily shape declines, and his mind starts to become foggy.
To keep his duty as a king, he must maintain his habits.
A king is only as good as his routine.
Building A Kingdom On Wisdom
Every man wants to feel like a king.
Every woman wants to feel like a queen.
Every son wants to feel like a prince.
Every daughter wants to feel like a princess.
A king builds the kingdom, and a queen fills it with love.
Two sides of the same coin.
One doesn't work without the other.
To build a kingdom and gain wealth, you need wisdom.
A castle can be built in a few months, much like businesses can become profitable in a similar timeframe.
But most businesses remain small castles, farms, or homes; few can build a kingdom, lacking the wisdom to do so.
You need to be wise about what material you need for your kingdom, where to obtain it, and how to transport it effectively with the least number of men, while also ensuring you have enough men to guard the castle. On top of that, you need able men to build, protect and simultaneously provide food (hunting) and shelter in the process.
All these orders need to come from a hierarchical standpoint, a source of wisdom. Aligning correctly. The one man needs to be wiser than the other, and one skill needs to align with the other. If every man only knows how to build shelters, they will only build shelters.
The wiser the king, the stronger and faster the kingdom.
- He makes high-leverage, long-term decisions with moral clarity.
- He builds mental models, decision systems and infrastructure before scaling.
- He defines values and vision. (Mission → Market → Products)
- He creates trading routes, alliances and a temple as both a spiritual and economic hub.
- He developed global networks & partnerships with other kingdoms, farmers, smiths, etc.
- He attracts opportunities instead of chasing them by creating value and authority.
Instead of chasing money, he focuses on building clarity, infrastructure, and reputation first. Wealth becomes a side effect of value and leverage.
Wisdom → Systems → Influence → Wealth → Kingdom → Maintenance & constant development.
A kingdom requires ongoing maintenance and development, even after years of construction.
Maintaining your kingdom is like caring for your beloved home. If you don't love your home, you won't take care of it. If you love your plants, you'll water them just enough to keep their soil moist.
As mentioned earlier, wisdom can only be acquired through daily practice of reading, writing, and training. (Mind, Body and Spirit)
This is the foundation to acquire wisdom; the rest is the outcome and the result of the daily practice.
