🔥How to Build a Life That Is Actually Yours.

People want what other people want.

Everyone on social media now lives the same life.

Get your morning sunlight.

Get your electrolytes.

Join the run club.

Do an ice bath.

Drink matcha.

You've probably read one of these too:

  • Atomic Habits
  • The 4-Hour Workweek
  • The Body Keeps the Score
  • How to Win Friends and Influence People

Or listen to the same podcasts, like Huberman, Diary of A CEO or Modern Wisdom.

But just think about it:

The 1% of creators influence the 99% of people.
  1. 85% of the population have the 9-5 life.
  2. 14% have the self-employed life.
  3. The 1% influences the 99%.

Getting your morning sunlight, hydrating your body first thing in the morning or getting a cold shower in the morning is good advice.

But you can’t live the life you actually want from borrowed ideas. The idea needs to be the “source” itself.
  • That’s where you stop consuming and start creating.
  • Where you stop following creators and become one.
  • Where you stop being a wantrepreneur and become an entrepreneur.
  • Where you stop joining communities and build your own.

Think about waking up tomorrow. Instead of reaching for your phone to watch a creator's morning routine, you're the one creating what someone else scrolls past.

If you want to stay average. If you want to live the life everyone else does (most people are angry and rude), and you are scared to make any changes in your life, you shouldn’t read any further.

But if you are eager to build a life that is actually yours, you should continue reading.

You Can’t Outsource Your Thinking To Someone Else.

Most of your desires are not yours.

Most of it came through your parents, school, society, or the algorithm.

Your life might not feel aligned because it was never your idea, never your vision, never the life YOU really wanted. (It was external, not internal)

I haven’t been any better.

For 25 years, I lived a script written by someone else.

I had been a huge people pleaser.

It all started at a young age with my mum and sisters.

Later, as an adult, it influenced my business, income, and relationships.

  • Business: That’s how my startup lost 400,000€. We, both Co-Founders, weren’t confident enough to go against our other Co-Founder.
  • Income: I still feel anxious every time I need to sell to pay my bills. Even though I know it’s valuable to other people. But I still have this insecurity that I am not good enough, not valuable enough, that it is “too expensive,” or that it creates friction.
  • Relationships: Even in past relationships, I faced issues because I was “too nice”. I was “Mr. Nice Guy”. (If you are struggling with this, read: “The Way of the Superior Man” by David Deida; it will change your life as a man)

All of this was the people-pleaser inside me. But I know I need to face the storm.

I had these huge, ambitious goals, and still have, but in the past I didn’t know how to get closer to them. So people-pleasing, low agency, ADHD, and overall my scattered mind prevented me from doing this.

I couldn’t detach from others' opinions and problems.

I soaked up all the problems like a sponge.

1) Discover What You Really Want By Accessing Flow State.

You can only discover what you really want when you are in the default mode network.

This happens when you are bored.

Where you don't take out your phone, where you don’t open YouTube and where you don't stimulate your mind. Where you sit in silence, go for a walk (in nature), go cycling (with fewer cars) or go for a run (in the forest).

The default mode network is what most people understand as “shower thoughts.” Where your mind releases, detaches or “surrenders”.

And this release can be used to enter the flow state.´

After the moment of “surrender”, you can access the flow state. And flow is the reward itself, the pure creative expression, the moment you surf the wave of flow.

  1. Struggle: You struggle with not knowing what you want.
  2. Release: You let go, detach or read a book.
  3. Flow: An idea sparks into your mind, and you want to write it down. At this moment, you enter the state of flow.
  4. Recovery: After the state of flow, you need to recover, ideally by working out (Active recovery).

While you are in a state of flow, ideas spark into your mind.

They thought of creativity as “discovery,” because ideas came from the gods and were merely “discovered” by mortals. — Steven Kotler (The Art of Impossible)

These ideas trigger or start your flow state.

During a flow state, your two brain hemispheres literally combine, and you become logically creative, using your brain’s full capacity in pure creation.

→ Logic is the entrepreneur (Yang)

→ Creativity is the creator (Yin)

The moment you access flow state, you combine yin and yang, logic and creativity, entrepreneur and creator.

→ The Creatorpreneur.

With full brain activation, you have an idea flow. Inflaming each other. Creating behavioral changes by creating movement.

Ideas are the inception of every behavior change. — Dan Koe

This means the more you create, the faster you discover what you really want, and you build a worldview based on your own ideas, inspired by others, without following or being attached to other people’s ideas or worldviews.

2) Create an Ocean of Ideas: Your Own Worldview.

Detach from the opinions of others by creating your own world.

The more flow states you access, the more mental images you create (as I just did with Claude and Figma), and these mental images create a mental universe. As I've explained many times, like Marvel, Harry Potter, Star Wars, or The Lord of the Rings.

During the flow state, your mind “moves” and creates worlds of ideas. And now, with AI and $20-40 a month, you can visualize these worlds in your mind and bring them into physical existence.

→ Your ideas can literally manifest in an instant.

That’s how products are being built. It starts with an idea and manifests into physical reality.

Every movie you watched, every video game you played, every product you purchased, started with an idea.

  • The more you read.
  • The more you write.
  • The more you create.

The bigger your ocean of ideas gets.

This is what big creators have built:

A big open world with lore & legends.

Where you tap into their worlds through YouTube, Social Media, or their writing, and you either stay inside this world and explore its dungeons, quests, and lore.

Or you say: “That’s not for me.” And you leave.

The creator built a frame/world where you can enter, like in a video game.

You are the hero, in this world, built by the creator.

Every world is structured the same way:

  1. There is a main quest, a person you want to rescue (in most cases, the princess), and an enemy you need to defeat. (The dragon/devil)
  2. A guide who helps you along your journey.
  3. The guide hands you a blueprint.
  4. The blueprint/map tells you what materials you need, where to look for them, and how to craft them.
  5. This blueprint introduces you to side quests. Talk to the bartender, explore the dungeon, climb the mountain, kill the troll, etc.
  6. During the side quests, you find legendary weapons, armor, or suitable helpers along your journey to keep you engaged.
  7. After you reach a specific level and do all of the side quests, the area of the main boss unlocks, and you are able to step through the fog and beat the main boss to rescue your princess.

3) Design Your Life Like A Video Game. (A Hierarchy of Goals)

This is what Eiichiro Oda did with One Piece.

This is what Stan Lee did with Marvel Comics.

This is what J.K. Rowling did with Harry Potter.

This is what Suzanne Collins did with The Hunger Games.

They all gamified their lives or at least their work by creating their own game, their own world, their own universe.

They imitated the creator’s creation.

They stepped outside of being the hero and became the creator, inviting new heroes to play.

The infinite game, the infinite hierarchy. Everyone stays a student but becomes a master for other students.

Here’s my framework, which I have been using for 2 years:

You set one goal every 90 days:

  1. One big goal
  2. Broken down into 3 milestones
  3. Executed as weekly projects towards 1 milestone.
  4. A weekly routine that follows one big topic. (The long writing/newsletter)
  5. A daily routine that follows the same exact daily structure:
The Creator: 2 hours of writing and curation.
The Entrepreneur: 2 hours of the things that move your business forward.

The importance here isn't just creating a hierarchy of goals. ****

It's how you plan your week.

Path of the Creator:

→ Pick one topic you want to write about. Not more. Otherwise, you get overwhelmed. (I tried it many times with my ADHD. It doesn’t work. PICK ONLY ONE TOPIC.)

  1. Every morning after waking up, I follow the exact routine.
  2. After 90 minutes, I drink coffee and start my 2-hour writing block.

This never changes. What changes is what I do afterward: the business tasks.

The Path of the Entrepreneur:

Monday: Post and schedule content.

  • Post my weekly long deep newsletter.
  • Schedule all written content for the entire week. (So I don’t need to think about anything anymore, and my mind is free.)

Tuesday: Repurposing Day.

  • Turn my newsletter into a presentation with my Figma images.

Wednesday: Weekly Live Call Day

  • Presenting my weekly long deep newsletter live, so they can ask questions.

Thursday: Editing Day

  • Publish the audio version on Spotify.
  • Send Short Letter (Summary + link to Spotify)
  • Start editing the YouTube video or send to video editor.

Friday: Plan Weekly Bonfire. (New paid community/tribe)

  • Create a practical presentation from this week's long letter. (90-Day Challenge system, for example)
  • Plan next week’s actionable steps for the community.

Saturday: Weekly Bonfire Call

  • My Creatorpreneur Tribe for Entrepreneurs, Creators and ADHD people

Sunday: Researching & Planning

  • Research Topic idea for the next newsletter
  • Finish everything that didn’t go well this week.

That’s it.

Looks more difficult than it actually is. It only takes me 4-6 hours of work per day.

The hardest thing in business is to still be there 5 years from now. Half of all businesses die in the first 5 years. But there is a problem more quiet than bankruptcy: When it gets boring. You buy the domain. You start designing the logo. You start reaching out to clients. You start outlining your brand vision. But the moment it gets boring, and results slow down, you quit. You might be the aspiring entrepreneur or creator who started multiple business ideas or multiple attempts to post...

If you have ADHD like me, you know how quickly you abandon a business idea. It feels exciting at first. Dopamine, curiosity and novelty rush into your brain, and you want to act immediately. And you do. You buy a domain for 14$ per year. You start designing a logo with ChatGPT. You think about a suitable name for your business. You start posting the first pieces of content. Maybe even an entire week. And then you stop. The moment it gets boring and your brain doesn’t get any new stimulation,...

First of all: Happy Birthday, Dad! Today would be your 72nd birthday. I hope you are doing well, celebrating and eating a lot of cake in heaven with the other uncles and aunties who have passed away in recent years. I know that your death was freeing you from all of the pain you were suffering, physically and emotionally. I just wish you were still alive when I marry the love of my life. (Whenever this is going to happen) “I am just holding back my tears while being in a co-working space...
